Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in an ad agency
  • 1-2 years experience as an Art Director or Assistant Art Director in an ad agency
  • BA in Design (or equivalent degree in visual arts)
  • Healthcare/Medical experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong consumer-oriented design portfolio

Software Requirements

  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat (expert level only)
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Dreamweaver, Go-Live, Flash and Final Cut Pro (a plus)

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and develop concepts collaboratively with the Marketing Director and project management
  • Responsible for the design and layout of all client and in-house print and web materials
  • Manage print and web production from concepts through development, refinement and final press production
  • Coordinate the daily needs of multiple projects
  • Maintain sales, print and deliverables library
  • Support proposal development and sales team needs
  • Prioritize client deliverables and existing projects provide timeline/project hour estimates. Forecast additional resource needs and source additional assistance when needed
  • Manage printing process, budget and timeline: Will obtain multiple printer quotes, select printer, preflight all materials for press and handle proofs through approval processes. As the sole contact with the printer, duties include managing printer timelines, pricing and attending press checks when necessary
  • Source and purchase stock photography
  • Manage purchase of additional branded items for client deliverables and corporate programs
